SEAN-Toolbox

The SEAN Toolbox presents concrete guidelines and tools, to allow potential users to apply SEAN with more limited external assistance than has been possible so far and its guidelines for application. The Toolbox is therefore structured as a set of educational cards mainly, to assist practitioners in applying SEAN in their own situations.

Structure and contents of the Toolbox

The SEAN Toolbox consists of seven parts:

1. A presentation of SEAN and this Toolbox
2. Educational cards on the SEAN methodological steps
3. Educational cards on the SEAN process phases
4. Educational cards on checklists
5. A SEAN case study experience
6. A booklet with theoretical backgrounds to SEAN
7. Copies of overhead sheets that can be useful during workshops.

SEAN Toolbox short version

There is now also available a short version of the SEAN Toolbox. For many practitioners this proves to be easier to start with than the complete Toolbox. Look under documents on how to download or order this.

SEAN Toolbox on CD rom

The SEAN Toolbox is also available on CD-ROM. Apart from all the information from the SEAN Toolbox, this CD rom has as well:

1. An introduction to other environmental analysis- planning- and assessment methods
2. An analysis method entitled 'environmental scan' (SEAN Light)
3. A manual for setting up an environmental monitoring system (in English, French and Spanish)
4. A French SEAN reader, and
5. The complete SEAN Toolbox in Spanish.
